There are some creatures that reproduce asexually. Meaning no s*x of any kind and it's reserved for simple life forms-usually single cell bacteria and amobeas. The offspring bud off the parent of sponges, coral and hydras. How many of us have propagated house plants by breaking of the leaf and putting it in water (philodrendon, and violets) or the spider plant has the baby plants hang off the parent? Strawberry plants do that too but they may also use sexual reproduction since they have flowers too. Sea stars if they are cut/torn can grow the missing body parts so if you have two half-stars, eventually they'll become two whole-stars.

How's that for something new? LOL

Live bearing fish do not shoot sperm packets. Males have gonopodium (penile fins) that they penetrate the female fish with.

When we took our 7yo to visit an aquarium last summer my DH was startled that I could tell the male sharks from the female sharks then even more startled when he looked carefully and it was obvious that they have two claspers and not just one.

Wow, I went from the first two pages, skipped to the last and my brain de-railed. I was going to post something about not thinking I can find the time to read all 200+ pages, but I have got to find where it went from "Are the green ones spoiled?" to "The fruit fly has a longer...than his body."
