Actually, for some that's the oil that goes in the engine after cooking up some nuggets and fries.
Bio diesel?

A Bus passed me in Davis CA once that was using bio diesel from a Chinese Restaurant. It smelled so good!.....

OK, this isn't something funny someone said to me but it just seems to fit in this thread because I am sure my flock thinks this dumb hen I have is the stupidest bird they have ever seen

She is just over a year old and has never set eggs. She has decided that she has chicks though.

She clucks to her imaginary chicks, brings treats to them, and puffs up while squawking if any of the other birds go near them. Problem is........ there are NO chicks!!!

Bio-diesel is diesel made with renewable sources, the ecology of this is negotiable since it often means forest is cut down to grow crops suitable for the production of the diesel.

But you can also use the (filtered) used frying oil in (older) diesel engines. Some use an additive with it. The merc 190d apparently is well suited for this.

Just this morning I heard a weird croaky egg song and checking it out found my oldest hen, almost nine years old I think, so WAY past laying, sitting in the nest box on someone else's egg, but carrying on as if she'd laid it. Either she's going dotty or she's trying to impress the other younger hens through false pretenses. Maybe your hen has a very active imagination?

At one time, our whole family worked for/with a small wholly owned chain of Welsh pubs. I was considering getting some diesel powered cars/trucks and taking their waste oil. Then they made a contract with a company that installs collection systems and buys their oil. Worse yet, I had to plumb and wire the equipment. Good thing I didn't buy the vehicles.

As, she is caring for the ghosts of all the chicks the have died still in their eggs. :) jk
They get the urge to raise a family and it is such a strong urge.

Sounds like my girl and yours are kindred spirits!
