But, she'd *never* use such a crass term as "shut up". Everyone knows "... I don't allow people to say ..." is so much more refined, dontcha know.

I just don't get people. Furthermore, the older I get, the less I want to "get" them; sounds like a recipe for a migraine headache.

Lol! My favorite saying these days is "What you (meaning anyone at all) think of me is none of my business". It's very liberating.

Holy Mackerel!!

Just came back from feeding the girls and collecting eggs. Look what I got!



The one is TWICE the size of the others, like finding 7 eggs instead of 6; biggest I’ve ever seen. Green, too. Looks like a flippin’ emu egg. Wonder if it’s a double yolker? 7

It definitely WAS a double yolker ... my very first after almost 3 years with chickens! It was a beauty, too: 2 gorgeous, perfect, dark yellow, good sized yolks. Since it was my first, I wondered if the yolks would be smaller than usual, but they were not. YUM ... what an omlete!

We usually give extra eggs away..but with molts, things are slow, so I cook them and share with my hens…Today…they got turkey.

I agree. Either they are lacking in that area, or are incredibly lacking in social graces. Why would any one purposefully puff themselves up? to make others feel inferior? So, even if they are smarter than the average Joe, they prove their lack of intellect by bragging it up.
