Or this....herbivores are not always herbivores.

I am on a horse forum and some of the ladies on that lives in Alaska and she said she and her husband watched her horse run down a squirrel, kill and eat it....

Protein is protein, no matter where they find it.

Time to open our eyes to the natural world and accept reality. When folks can do that they can stop being irrational about their food choices and start learning instead.

I know someone who wanted me to check out a link where someone was selling 'organic eggs' for 40 bucks a dozen and if I remember right 80 bucks for 24 to 40 eggs.
Ain't nobody got money for that! I can only get around 2 dollars for mine, and its the same with others I know.

Another lady at the store in the next town over was at the eggs while my mom was looking at cheese, mind you I usually don't get too mad about people buying what ever eggs they like. But she kept complaining about how white eggs weren't cage free and free range, and they were 'gmo', and just picked up some brand of pale to medium brown eggs in a clear carton and went on to her friend how these tasted soooo much better because brown was 'organic and free range'. I told her(not meaning to butt in but hey gotta spread proper info man) that any color of egg can be free ranged and cage free, and the ones she was buying was more thank likely from chickens in chicken tractors. Of course I said it nicely, but she then started to go on about something of the sort with "how would you know? you don't raise chickens, you're only what, 16?". Needless to say I laughed to myself and told her that its just chicken ovulation anyways.

Huff puff went the wolf, and on she walked with her 'cage free organic eggs'.

My mom believes you can put chickens recently sick with respiratory disease with healthy chickens and it will be ok.

Oh and she tells me all chickens lay every single day. No, mom, they don't. Only some breeds *may* lay every day.

And I know people who still don't understand the egg origin. A friend of my mom was visiting in the spring and asked me if my chickens would lay eggs that day. I told him no, they're only like 2 months old. He then asked if they were gonna 'pee it out'. I said no, chickens sort of lay through the place they excrete their poop. He vowed to never eat eggs again.

Bet that lady would bring back the carton if she found a speck of poop or a 1 mm egg spot.

Hey, be excited when someone thinks you look young for your age…you'll love those comments in years to come...

The cow eating the chick must be something those folks look forward to watching.....weird. The poor chick was tied to a string. And the people were laughing.

I don't mind being called 16, but I do mind the tone...not every younger person is out like the rabbits lol. just don't understand where people get their ideologies though, like what possesses them to think egg color equates a chicken's living space?

Well I guess green eggs come from ponds.
And blue eggs come from chemicals.

I have no idea about people anymore lol.

I saw the string and thought the whole thing was sick. I did not have the volume on so did not hear the laughter. Staking an animal out so another animal eats it is just plain wrong.

I understand most animals and most humans eat meat, I butcher my own animals. BUT tying an animal to a stake just bothered me. I did not say anything earlier, even though I wanted too. I am glad you brought it up!
