I have been very pleased with dumore feed, maintain the protein at 18 %, add wheat to the , I believe 24% dumore to bring it to 18% toward finish, the Chicks were 8 1/4 lbs. in 7 weeks, couldn't do them all ( I'm 75, in one week) one got to 12 1/4lbs. , dressed 9 1/4 lbs at 8 weeks. The hatchery man said he was ready to throw up his head and croke, there system couldn't support such a mass of muscle. I had asked how big he would get, he said to butcher quickly. I feel Dumore feed and Tractor supply are good and fair. made Many meals per bird. Packaged 2 large thighs, then 2 drums, then backs and necks for chic and noodles or soup, then the breast from one side, then the other., plenty for two, then 8 drummets per pkg from 2 birds. The wingtips went with the backs and necks. 6 and 1/2 meals per bird. mature enough to taste great, and make the most of the project. , An awful lot of good food efficiently, when on social insecurity.
