Dumped Guinea Fowl in store parking lot

Wow - that’s a long time! I don’t know how to catch him from the lot of there aren’t other birds luring him into a pen or some such. Maybe a have a heart trap??
That’s what I was thinking. A live trap should do it right? If I lived in the area I would try a trap. I dont live close enough to setup a live trap though.
If only I was closer.

I was also thinking a live trap. Not sure if the sound of millet shaking in a coffee can will mean anything to him but that's how I draw mine. As said, they get one shot, so something appealing has to be in that trap. A lot of ppl swear their goons love watermelon, mine won't touch it.
You can use the sound of guineas calling on your phone to get his interest. It's so hard to give ideaswith "one shot"..bc I might suggest sliding the phone under the trap if you find a long enough recording.
And thank you for caring. Just the thought of one of mine alone and lost through the winter is heart breaking.

Isn’t it? I really wish I was closer, I know I would get him if I was. I’m not one who gives up easy.
I really dont care how long he’s been there, he’s in a bad situation. Lots of people keep saying g to leave him and stop messing with it. He’s fine, it’s so frustrating that these people would rescue a feral dog or cat who’s been there for years, but poultry are a different story i guess.

They must not understand that he’s in a bad spot. Guineas need a flock, not just a few handouts. And eventually, something will pick off a lone guinea. Poor guy! :hit

Before you could catch or trap him it would have to be condidtioned to come to food. That will take a week or so. You would need to be close enough to work on it several times each day.
It already is conditioned I believe. I think the store has been feeding it, or at least that’s what I heard.
