oh you did! good, because I was just there and they are done for the year. Yes the chicks are dark, in fact the one I got got mixed in with a box of Black Australorps and I didn't notice the difference until they feathered out and he continued to lighten after that as well. I kept wondering what was wrong with this one . .. and all of my customers wanted to buy him, but I waited so that I could see what he looked like as he got bigger - very beautiful, he sold the minute I was willing to let him go.

Dunlap is a great place to buy chickens. Their store is very small, but neat and well taken care of. The chickens I got there were, and still are, very happy and healthy.

If you buy from them, you won't be dissapointed

I got an Amerucana from them and I was not impressed. She was a pullet supposedly just a year old. She brought both mites and lice to my coop. I have had her a year and she has layed 2 eggs over the entire time. Maybe I just got a bad chicken, but I doubt I will buy chickens from there again.

Dunlap Hatchery is a great local business. They are always willing to give advice to newbies, and their place is clean and well kept. I get my Barrred Rock chicks from them. I live nearby so I stop by to chat while getting feed and straw.

THEY ARE THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I sent in cash for my birds and they said they didn't get it. They had called me 2 nights before saying they were sending them out and they didn't come. Then, I called and they said that they couldn't anymore. What the Heck? Never will I ever ever ever recomend them!

I got three EE's there by way of our local Cal Ranch store. They are great chicks so far. Healthy, bright and alert as can be.

Word of advice... don't ever mail cash, especially for a purchase. If you must, make sure you spring for delivery confirmation, etc.
