So I have been trying to move to sustainability and self sufficiency. My Granddaddy farmed and every time I mentioned I would like to do it I was told it was too much work and I wouldn't like it. Now at 46, my hubby and I have settled into a 1.25 acre property that we love. Here we are working towards our dream of a small homestead. This year I am adding my chickens. I have happy memories of gathering eggs with my great grandmother and I am eggcited for this new adventure. I got my flock of 6 on March 10, 2021. I have 2 EE, Serena and Agatha, 2 Sapphire Gems, Molly and Adelaide, a SLW, Sylvie and a GLW, Goldie.

The goal is just to be able to take care of ourselves and our little corner of the world.
