Hi BYC,
I'm going to try to treat a duck with Duramycin 10 with the soggy bread trick (i.e. soaking bread in DM 10 solution and then feeding to the duck). Does anyone have experience with the ratios?
Here was my plan:
- correct does is 800 mg
- I figure she might ingest half a cup of water (or 1/32 of a gallon) through the bread
- according to directions, a full packet will make 12.5 gal at 800 mg / gal, or 50 mg / cup
- if instead, I mixed one packet with 1 gallons of water, concentration would be 625 mg / cup
- if she ingests half of that, she'd only get 312 mg
Can someone confirm that this is how others use the soggy bread trick?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Jon
