dust bath what to put in it ?

I'm wondering what is the best thing to put in the bath to help with lice and mite control ??

Wood ash is great. Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is fine, but only food grade and only a small amount, since it has the potential to be harmful to the bird's respiratory systems. Sand is a good abrasive to kill the parasites, and a base made of very fine, dusty dirt will help smother them.
