Yesterday was the first time I saw the 7 week old chicks dust bathing in the run, Idk if they had done it before as I'm not always out watching them, none of the dirt appeared to be dug up before that and today they were doing it again. Yesterday my 3 year old daughter went and sat right next to run and was putting dirt on her legs and they were all intensely watching her then they all started scratching the dirt and rolling around. Was telling my mom about it and she mentioned that since they don't have a mother hen teaching them everything, some stuff they'll learn from us. Did my daughter playing in dirt teach them to dust bathe? How often do they usually do it? It was pretty funny, my daughter couldn't stop laughing.
