Dust box questions

I have 4 chickens and I wanted to make them a dust box. How big should it be? What do you put in it? Thanks

In one of my tractors I put a cat litter box, the largest I could find. And then I added dirt from the yard with DE in it for their baths and picking through for odd pieces of dirt.
They dump it about once a week so I refill it and give it back to them.

My Dh brought home an old brake drum and I put cand and soil combination and some DE. They can't knock it over as its too heavy. They do poop in it now and then .
