has anyone got any advice on how i can get dust mite powder on my hens without all the fuss i know they will make? is there an easy way?

Can you buy an old sifter from a thrift store and try to sift some on them at nite when they are roosting. When I change the hay in my coop, I usually take a big handful of DE and rub it on the roosts,so far I haven't had any problem with mites or anything else on my hens I don't know if that helps but hope so. marrie

We use Miss Prissy's idea of using knee highs, or cutting pantyhose, put the powder in them, tie a knot and pat the chickens under the wings, vent and tummy. So far, so good.

Good luck!!
