A little bit of a weird question that I can't seem to figure out and I'm too impatient for an email back from my supplier lol I bought a bag of barley and it's covered in what I can only describe as a very sweet and floral smelling dust. I've had this happen once before when I bought buckwheat seeds from my local co-op but didn't think anything of it because it wasn't being fed to my birds.

Is this normal or something I need to wash off?

You can call to see if it's supposed to be on the barley, but you might just wash it off, because it sounds like it shouldn't be there.
