I thought this picture was funny... I let everyone out in the backyard today and my two little Silkies, Gwen and Daisy, found the perfect place to cuddle and dustbathe! That's Gwen's little muff sticking up..

I love it, but then I have to admit that Silkies are my favorite.

The chicks arrive at Big R tomorrow & I can hardly keep myself from buying 6 or 8 more Silkies. I lost 3 of my 4 last year & only have Mo left. She is broody right now, but they will be BB Silkie/Mottled Cochin Bantam, since Ish is the only roo in her yard. I was hoping that we would have had a few of our WB Silkie, Nicholas & one of the BB Silkie hens, but he too dies last year.

I suppose I should just be content with what we have now & not have any more chicks for a while. When I loose one of them it really takes it's emotional toll on me.

Anyway, great picture, thanks for sharing it.

God bless & have a great day tomorrow friends.

At least you won't have a huge crater in your yard...You could get killed in one of Slifer's.
I love looking at all of yous' birdies...I really think that one's cute as all get out.

Yes, drooling chickens are just sooooo attractive!

I just put the camera up to take her photo, and that's what came out of it! It was kind of like "HEY! WTH??"

I sent that picture to my husband, and he wrote back, "What the hell is that? It looks mean!"

I said, "No, she's just offended by the flash!"
