(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I have been a chicken owner for 6-7 months now, we started by hatching ours first then bought a few more along the way.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
9 (8 hens, 1 rooster)

(3) What breeds do you have?
The rooster is a Black Austrolorp, We have 4 Jersey Giants, two Brahmas, an Amrock and a little one who is special needs due to her leg not developing correctly, she is very small compared to the rest and we just call her Cricket, not sure what breed she is for sure, she may be a Dekalb Amberlink.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are very peaceful birds and fun to interact with.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I work on projects around the house. I also like to paint and draw.

(6) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D

I have found answers to various questions concerning our birds, it helped alot and I just wanted to make it official.
