Dusty coop idea

this is our first year with the coop and I always dread the chore of dusting when it builds up. I mainly find it’s the electronics to the automatic door, lightbulb, water heater etc that gets the most buildup. Today I cleaned the coop (my weekly freshen up) and came up with the idea of using a dust blaster (the bottles of compressed air to clean computers etc) to clean the lightbulb and electrical sockets/plugs etc. Worked like a dream and didn’t stir up much dust. I even used it to clean the top of the live mouse trap so I could see in again.

Anyone else have some easy tips to keeping the coop Clean?

Do note it was the last thing I did before I left the coop.

I don’t find I stir up dust when I shovel the poop (we have sand below the roosts) but did the dust blister last so I don’t breath it all in.

I don’t find I leave the coop coughing - I currently don’t have a respirator but should I?

Plain old compressed air should be fine.
Keeping the coop dust free is folly, IMO.
Best to cover things so the dust can't fall on them...especially any thing hot that might combust.

What kind of light bulb and water heater are you using?
Some pics might help here.
