Dutches Pigeons... are they really extinct?

As any normal 18 year old girl would do with her friends (lol, we're such nerds) we were talking pigeons. The Dutchess breed came on topic, and my friend told me they were extinct. I've googled them and can't find anything! They're so beautiful, are they really extinct? That'd be so sad.

Dont think they are extinct, would check with the rare breed club. To find a breeder.

I'm pretty sure they are gone. No one's heard of them for years. If there are any left, they've probably been crossed by now, and the original Dutchess birds are lost.

I have never seen any in my 50 years of going to shows.
