As a child I grew up in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Even though we lived in row housing we had a "large" yard for a city and had up to 100 chickens. We sold the eggs to costumers willing to pay the same price as store bought eggs, except that our eggs were organic and much fresher.
Now that I am retired and living in Canada, I want to raise 4 chickens, enough for our personal needs (Only the two of us).

Glad you could join the flock! That's so nice you are going to get back into chicken keeping. Fresh eggs are so much nicer than the store bought ones and taste better too. I would never go back to them now or ever. I also like the fact I know how the hens have been looked after.
