Hi
frow.gif
everybody and anybody who knows the future colouring of D'Uucle chicks.

So I bought a dozen hatching eggs, 6 hatched

3 yellow chicks (which I'm guessing will grow to be white birds)

1 two toned colour

and the other 2 are dark in colour (they are the 2 I'd like to know what they may look like as adults) Pictured below:

I did not get a real good look at the parents as I was quite excited about buying my first lot of hatching eggs

Just a guess:

White chicks=white or self blue d'uccle
Black w/ white chicks=def. brown red d'uccle bantam!
2 Toned=Prolly Blue Millie Fleur

ETA: Congrats on the hatch!

I'll be googling images of these very shortly

Do you or anyone else know when I can start handling them? - they're now four days old, I often watch them and also talk to them so they "know" my voice

Handle them as often as possible, and there's no wrong time to start handling them, IMO.

so I placed my chicks in a "box" and carried them inside the house (i have their brooding box set up in the garage)....I got to handle each of them for a short time as I could feel their little hearts pounding away.

Should i only handle them near their brooding box/heat lamp? because by the time i got to the last chick, her little feet felt cold and she sneezed.
