Somebody's out in the pen screeching "An EGG! I'm gonna lay an EGG! An EGG! I'm gonna lay an EGG!"

Surrounded by a chorus of "An EGG! An EGG! An EGG!" "She's got an EGG! She's got an EGG!" "Hey everybody she's gonna lay an EGG!"

Followed by the rooster yelling out "I AM THE MAN!!!!" (as if he had anything to do with it).

Good grief. Just get on with it without the fanfare.

That's what I figured. Didn't take but one male to get all the girls hollering.

Same thing happens at my house, only the ducks and geese cheer too. A chorus with horns.

So I go out with treats to reward all involved - including the Greek chorus - and there is no egg. Overly dramatic feathered scammers.

I have a hen that sings the egg song for about half an hour before she lays an egg, screams louder if someone else is in her favorite box and then screams the song for another half hour after she's done. You'd think she was laying golden eggs.

I Don't Know why.... Egg Songs to me Are like Face Book.... You Gotta Let the Whole world Know Your business, People make a Big Deal of it, and in a Day it's History....

I've actually stood outside of the run and told our loud hen to stop clucking so loudly because the entire neighborhood could hear her and she was embarrassing me.
