Dyeing white chickens for camouflage?

I was wondering if white chickens are more vulnerable. They seemed to be the first to go at my neighbors. All I can say, when they're teenagers like that, they're easy pickins for the hawks. Lots of tree and shrub cover is very helpful though. If there's a rooster on-site, they'll learn the warning cry with the rest.
