Dying? Chicken, give pain meds?

TLDR:What side effects do pain meds have on chickens? I don’t want to cause more harm but I don’t want her to be in pain.
Hi everyone, my 3 year old Plymouth blue rock has a mass or tumor in her lower belly and the vet says it’s probably getting close to time to put her down. She stopped laying about a year ago and she’s been sneezing and panting a little. But she also seems to be pretty happy a decent portion of the time. The vet called and asked if we wanted to put her on some pain meds. What side effects do pain meds have on chickens? I don’t want to cause more harm but I don’t want her to be in pain. Thanks for your help.

I'd consider any side affects to be negligible if she's going down hill anyway and very likely in pain.
