I just cracked open an egg that I thought was dead. I was looking at it and it moved after it was out of the egg. What can I do?

How far along? If it wasnt ready to hatch and its no longer inside the membrane, then culling would be humane. It wont live long at all. If the membrane is intact, there is no blood and the shell is the only thing damaged, place it back in the incubator. You can partially cover it with a wet paper towel but be mindful not to block off air supply when it does pip the membrane.
