Hi. I have more birds this year, about 150. We expanded our coop, but the new birds like to flock together in the newer side. So, I am ending up with the majority of them crowded into one side.

Over the past few months I have lost about 10 birds. I either just find them dead in the morning or find them sick, and they die later that day.

When I find them alive, they seem to have some labored breathing.

Could this be overcrowding with a lack of appropriate ventilation? It doesn't seem like disease, or it would be more wide spread. At least I think so.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Sounds like what my sister in law is going through. PM her at 4kidZ and ask what she is giving hers. She has been having a heck of a time. One day they look fine the next they are dead or dying quickly.

Ok. But why is it that I always find them in the morning and it is only my younger (6-8months) birds?
