Easter egger Chicken was favoring her one foot sort of standing like a flamingo. Went in and picked her up (which she’s the skidding on and never lets me do) with ease. Looking a bit closer I noticed she has damaged scales and some bleeding on the bottoms of her feet. What is it and what should I do? She’s seriously just resting and dozing off in my lap. It’s not like her to be so laid back. She’s not even five months yet so she hasn’t begun laying either.

It almost looks like an injury or a tick embedded in there get a magnifier and look close, if you see something looks like a sliver of wood pull it out but use tweezers and make sure you get the head and all . I had one in my leg and it burrowed itself to China .I thought it was a sliver and broke the head off in my leg I had to dig 1/4 " deep to get the head out .

There is not tick and some of the scales are lifting up in more than one place. Do you think it could be chicken aggression? Or leg mites?

5-10 minutes, it's mostly to loosen up any crap stuck in there. I would apply every other night. whatever you decide to use make sure the lea are coated, this will suffocate the mites. i would continue treatment 1-2 weeks.
Do I then remove it from the flock for a while or just put her back in?

you can also treat the chickens with ivermectin as well as oiling the feet and legs. And treat the coop with permethrin.

it doesn't look too bad actually. I've had a million times worse.
