Twice this year I’ve purchased from Eagle’s Nest poultry in Ohio. Nice birds!
First, we ordered 17 chicks, 6 breeds. Two breeds were straight run and we culled 3 unwanted roosters from those. We have 14 birds: 12 pullets and 2 roosters, and all are laying.
We wanted to try meat chickens this fall, so we ordered 12: six White Mountain Broiler, and six Super Roaster. These butchered out as very meaty 7.5 week old birds and so far, all have tasted delicious. All the meat chickens were healthy, and still able to run around, despite their size, for their entire life.
the staff were helpful when we called with some questions. Although they are a smaller hatchery, I would definitely consider buying from them again!
