Ear Infection

Rooster has had ear infection two weeks. Gently cleaning ear but does not get better. Given first dose of LA200, vitamins. Nothing working. Initially felt better, wobbly. Might be inter ear? Is there a safe ear drop for chickens? An antibiotic ear drop maybe? Appreciate ANY advice.

Do you have a picture of the ear? Cleaning ears with peroxide, QTips, and putting plain Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic Ointment into the ear canal. If there is pus or an enlarged ear, pus may need to be removed. Bactrim or SMZ-TMP, or amoxicillin (Aqua-Mox sold online) are good for bacterial ear infections. Ear infections can be viral, bacterial, fungal, or from mite infestation. You may want to check with a vet since this has gone on for awhile.
