Ear Question

I noticed General's ears are really dark, but all her feathers are turning dark brownish red too. Both ears look the same, same color, same size. Since I am a first time chicken owner, I wanted get an opinion. Her other sisters still have light ears, but General seems to be a bigger and a few days older than the others. It didn't help my friend came over this morning and said they looked infected out of the blue.

Going strictly by the photo, I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary. It sounds like perfectly normal changes that come with feathering out...unless you're seeing redness or swelling around the ears, I wouldn't worry. Maybe the others will change too, or maybe theirs will feather in much lighter...
