Seems I've Gotten A Case Of Highly Contageous Early Bird Disease Rippin Thru The House This Week--- 1st Wilds Of Pa's Pheasant Eggs Decided To Come 2 1/2 Days Early--- Imagine My Surprise When I Opened The Brinsea To Move The Eggs To My Hatcher And Find A Baby Fluff Ball Pheasant All Cramped Up In There Looking Out At Me With A Look Of "well Its About Time Buddy!" On Its Face. Then I've Had Cochin Eggs--- 3 Settings Now, All At Least 2 Days Early.... Early D'anver Eggs.... Tonight I Opened The 'bator' To Get Niki's Coturnix Eggs Only To Find A Lil A&m--- Fully Dry And Fluffy And Has His Head Stuck In Between The Turner Racks And His Body Under The Turner! He Seems Fine Except For Some Bruising On His Head--- Think I'll Call This 1 Lucky--- As I Usually Dont Move Eggs Til Last Thing At Night--- Say Around 11pm-12am.... If I Had Done That Tonight He Surely Would Have Been Strangled As The Turner Kept Moving.

Oh Btw--- Monarc You Have Another Successful Batch Of Eggs To Your Credit! 1/2 The Dang Things Are Pipped Already And Of Course Lucky Is Now Moving Free In The Brooder=== They Arent Due For Another 2 Days!

Now If Y'all Will Excuse Me I'm Gonna Go Check All The Rest Of The Eggs--- Gettin A Lil Twitchy With All These Surprises This Week.....

Nope Temp And Humidity Havent Changed In Over 5 Months.---- You Gotta Love Brinsea Incubators! Every Unit I Have Is Rock Solid----

Just Setting Impatient Eggs I Guess..... Most Of Which Are Eggs From Our Birds. Maybe They're Just Goin Crazy From The Heat????

Heck As Hot And Humid As It Is Down Here Now If They Were Shipped I'd Say They Had A Head Start On Incubation By Baking In The Mail Truck..... But As I Said They're Mostly From Our Flock Here, So I Cant Even Throw That Excuse On 'em....

Did they get toasty enough while you were saving them up?
I saved up 3 days of chicken eggs before I began the bator, when I candled them on day 7, several looked like the day 10 photos, which makes sence as it's 110 outside and 95 in the house.

DANG WHY ARE YOU PAYIN THE ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR RUNNING AN INCUBATOR? I'D JUST SET THE TURNER OUT ON A COUNTER SOMEWHERE AND LET NATURE TAKE ITS COURSE....

They Only Get A Chance To Get Toasty While Momma Is Bein Lazy And Sitting In The Nest Box After She Laid Them..... As Far As Our Eggs From Here On The Farm, We Collect 2-3 Times A Day..... I Store Them In A Autoturner Here In The House Where Its Nice And Cool..... Store 'em 2 Days, 3 Tops. I Have A Fantastic Hatch Rate On My Eggs, No Matter What The Speces. Now Shipped Eggs==== Thats A Different Story. Like Everyone Else Who Buys Shipped Eggs, I Am At The Mercy Of Many Postal Employees As Well As The Original Producers.
