1 out of 30 eggs hatched

So you have learned your lesson. One reliably accurate thermometer is cheaper than 6 erroneous ones. I originally went that route and it didn't work. You never know which one to trust.
Contrary to the name, Accurites aren't accurate. At least not accurate enough for incubation.
I only use Accurites for their hygrometer, which can be calibrated....after which it's pretty accurate.

I agree,, but we are talking about checking accuracy of a thermometer. If it is within 1 degree,, I think that is close enough for incubating.
I'm a bit more picky about accuracy, but the mercury thermometers generally don't measure to .1 degree accuracy. They are among the more reliable ones, though, that's for sure.

I use old antique mercury chicken egg thermometers. Taylor, SureHatch, Tyco also have an antique dry/wet bulb thermometer. Highly accurate, calibratable, and reliable. Here's just a few of the 25 or so i have. :D

The Brinsea Spot Check was a very accurate option but I'm not sure they still make them.
There are two more options for accuracy.
This pocket digital from Thermoworks

is accurate to ±0.9°F with a response time of 4 seconds.
They have other very accurate units too.
My favorite is the Govee H5074. It is extremely accurate for both temperature and humidity the bluetooth can report to your phone. It constantly stores the readings so you can download the history to find anomalies if there are any failures.
