Laid my eggs to rest on the 18th day and on day 19 one egg starting pipping. It is day 20 now and chick is making progress but has not hatched out out. My question is: it has been 24 hours since the pip day 21 is not until tomorrow, should i assist or not?

I tend to say no. Do not assist. Maybe if its not out in the morning you can reevaluate the situation. Just my opinion.
