we have six hens born oct 3 and one born nov 5. they are just starting to lay, hooray! one of the barred rocks has been laying for about 3 weeks (but the other one hasn't started yet, far as we can tell)

what surprised us through is the the second hen to lay is our Silver Laced Wyandotte, she's 4 weeks younger than the rest and on the small side, like she hasn't finished growing yet. now let's hope the other girls get with the program...can't wait to get some pretty blue green eggs from the ameraucanas! any guesses on when the orp, brahma and ameraucanas will start to lay?
