Today is just the end of day 19 of incubation for these eggs and already I have three chicks up and walking around the incubator, with several more pipped. I'll be moving at least the three in the morning into the brooder. I had no idea they would hatch so early, so I only started my first batch of feed fermenting yesterday. Tomorrow when I transfer chicks to the brooder, the feed will have only been fermenting for 36 hours or so. I'm sure it probably won't have the benefits the fully fermented stuff will have for them, but is it okay to still scoop off the top for now and feed it? Or would it better to feed dry crumbles until the fermentation is complete?

I'm pretty whether you feed the slightly fermented or not, it won't hurt them. But if you do want your food fermented, I would wait and feed them the dry crumbles.
(P.S. Congrats on the chicks! Even if they were early. Lol)

I ferment my feed and would happily feed partially fermented food. At 36 hours it could very well be fully fermented at least it is so close as to be hardly noticeable. There is no danger whatsoever - only benefits. If it helps, people frequently use "wet" feed so even if you gave it after only 12 hours would still be perfectly fine.
