I am (HOPEFULLY) picking up my chicks today. I have some reserved and bad weather has delayed my pick up until tonight. The chicks are now over 2wks old. I've been guaranteed 90% females, but wanted to know if there were any other early clues to gender. My chicks are Australorps, Sussex, Wyandottes, and EE. Any early clues to help me make sure I'm picking up as many girls as possible???

If there's a chick mixed in that has tree trunks for legs, don't pick him. Otherwise, luck is on your side

Look for the smallest yellowest combs! Stay away from any comb that looks largish and pinkish (compared to the other chicks).

Good luck, and post some pics

Assuming the rain and snow don't delay the pick up another few days, will post as soon as I get them!

Thanks!!!
