Early lockdown?

Hi, so I have four duck eggs in my incubator that have about nine days left of incubation, but I have to leave for a two day trip once they have six days of incubating left. They started wiggling and rocking about a day or two ago so I'm not sure if it would be helpful anyway for them to have an early lockdown on day 22. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

A six day lockdown period shouldn't hurt duck eggs if they have been turned sufficiently the first 2 weeks or so as long as you can keep the humidity up when pipping starts.

I think I may just have someone turn them actually and fill up their water. It would make me feel better!

Well forget that, I just saw them shadowing the air sac so I may as well just lock them down when I leave...

1 Question,-- So my one mallard egg has a super small air sac and but it still extremely active. Will he make it?

It might. What's your humidity been at?

I don't have a measure thing, but it has been the same as it always has years before....

I also am leaving tomorrow for two days, so I am really worried about it...
