As with any coop, you design the ventilation accordingly, no different with earth bags. As for a dog digging etc. The best foundation for any coop is rock. A shallow trench filled with rock under your earthbags allow for water to be diverted away from the structure, also having the rock foundation go out about a foot from the structure is always good so that digging animals can't get "under", which they would find incredibly difficult to do under such a heavy structure as earthbags. I like the earthbag idea for many reasons, predator control being chief among them, also the htermal qualities, since I live in a pretty cold climate during the winter, with hot sunny summers. Also, if you have a rooster, the earthbags can really muffle his crowing before the door opens in the morning.
