Easiest way to Bathe a chicken??

I have a silkie that has been a broody mama for awhile now. Well the chicks mostly 2-3 weeks old have been pooping all over her! This mornign she has poop on her head and looks miserable. What is the best way to give her a bath?? And can I use shampoo?? I was thinking about using baby shampoo.

any suggestions??

Yes, you can use shampoo. I used flea and tick shampoo for mine, but if yours starts up laying again immediately, I wouldn't want to eat the eggs for awhile after a chemical shampoo (personal decision).
