Good morning. Strange circumstances to finally be joining BYC, but...

We've kept chickens in our small Albany, CA yard the last two years and really like them, but one of our neighbors is not OK with any noise, so we're looking to find a new home for the girls.

Goldie (red sex-link) and Blackie (black Australorp) are two years old, and Dash (Wyandotte) and Houdini (Delaware) are a year old, all from TruNorth Farm in Walnut Creek. They currently free-range and eat organic feed, and create 2-3 eggs a day. They're a fun bunch. Please email me at [email protected] if you're interested in giving them a good home!

from Kansas, just one questions are chickens legal where you live if they are why not keep them. I live in town and have chickens they are legal here. I hope you can keep your chickens or find them a great home.

Are you allowed to have hens? If so, tell that neighbor to bugger off. If there is a noise ordiance regarding to it, or hens clucking or making noises rather excessively, I can understand that but if you are allowed, then you are allowed.

In all case, hopefully you are able to keep your girls .
