I know now that its getting colder that some people are using heat shipping pads when they ship birds.. My question is I have a 4 month old Serama cockerel who weights 11.5oz that someone is interested in.. at what temp. should I look into getting those pads if she really wants him?

I wouldn't see the need for supplemental heat in shipping a feathered-out bird of that age. I'd be more concerened about making provision for water with a Gro-Gel type product. If you cover that, temp shouldn't be a problem.

my only concern was how small he is an only being 11oz. I've never shipped a bird before an only had 1 bird shipped in but he was 28oz!
I've heard of people using fruits an veggies to supplement water.. Would that be okay also?

Its too cold up here now to mail an animal by mail..IMO..
