East Coast Shipping?

I know now that its getting colder that some people are using heat shipping pads when they ship birds.. My question is I have a 4 month old Serama cockerel who weights 11.5oz that someone is interested in.. at what temp. should I look into getting those pads if she really wants him?

I wouldn't see the need for supplemental heat in shipping a feathered-out bird of that age. I'd be more concerened about making provision for water with a Gro-Gel type product. If you cover that, temp shouldn't be a problem.

Its too cold up here now to mail an animal by mail..IMO..
