East Tennessee Swap Day

I thought the Mennonites drove vans and did have some electricity? I KNOW they drive vans... and we do have them too... these use horse and carrage only. We are getting off topic and it doesn't matter... just thinking outloud.

They are open all the time (except Sundays) and there is only one day of the month that is LIVESTOCK day. The rest of the time it is veggies and such. Somewhere on here it is listed in another thread.

I got two Delaware hens off a neighbor who said she got them at the Amish sale. They were pretty good looking, so I bought them. I even used them in my breeding program at one time. I would still be using them if they made the cut... they jsut had a few "show quality" faults. Good layers and healthy as a ox though!

I read on another forum that they open at 9 am and think their animal sale is on the last sat. of the month. p.s. They sell feed also.

Monday is the judging, but I can't be there until around 6pm unless some plans change.
Tomorrow we're porbably going to get the birds there at 7am, go to the farmers market, and then come back in the afternoon, if it isn't raining....
