East Tennessee Swap Day

It's right next to East TN Feed & Seed. Matter of fact, it's the feedstore's property... a lot on the corner.

If you are comming from the Interstate or Sweetwater... go out hwy 68 towards Madisonville. When you pass The Lost Sea, you will go down a hill.... at the very bottom of that hill (before you start to go up another hill) there is a road off to the left... It is literally right there. Turn in and park. You'll see it. Can't miss a bunch of trucks with chicken cages.

If you are comming from 411 or Madisonville side... go on 68 towards Sweetwater. It will be one lane and then a small section will be two lanes. A VERY SMALL section of two lanes (so please don't be one of those people who try to pass and don't have room

) It will then go back to one lane and you'll be going down a hill... you will pass East TN Feed & Seed's pull-in and take the road to the right just after it. Once again... you can't miss it.

There is a pole structured roof there but most people don't get under it. If you google map "East TN Feed & Seed Madisonville" you will get a map of it.

It can be muddy and it also can be overgrown. It is definately not a beauty pagent so don't be worried about looking good... Lord knows I never do at 6:30am!!

You know I live so close to it and never been. It supposedly is SUPER hectic and birds are sold out fast. I thought it was just the Amish selling their birds... not a swap... am I wrong?

I can't remember if it is the last or the first saturday... let's go with last. Heck, it's hard to really know... it's not like they have a site or a phone number to call and ask.

Does anyone going to Madisonville tomorrow need any extra layers? I have 2 point of lay red sex links (1 started laying this week! Not sure on the other) and 1 white leghorn/jersey giant. $10 each. Not bringing them otherwise as I have no interest in having them carried around by their feet

They are obviously friendly girls who come running for treats. I don't handle my birds otherwise, so they are probably not cuddlebugs

also have 2 Rhode Island Red hens....near 1 year old. Just didn't make the RIR cut here! My older 2 ratty RIR get to stay, these girls need a new place. They are a dark red and have super cute faces

Better quality than the 2 I am keeping but the 2 I'm keeping are my first ever bird and one of my favorite girls.

And a Jersey Giant/RIR hen, looks like black sex link. 1 year old. BIG girl.
