Hello, I'm a 33 year old married father or 3 kids, 2 10 yr olds and a 5 yr old. We live on a 100 acre cattle farm and have 25 angus cow/calf pairs, a bull, 6 RIR hens and a rooster, 3 amearacomas, 3 barred rocks, and 3 white buffalos. We also have 3 N.Z. white meat rabbits, and 6 dogs. We raise or grow the majority of our household food and enjoy every minute of it. The wife and I also work 12 shifts at our "real" jobs but, we are not a "hobby farm" or "weekend warriors".... at least it sure doesn't feel that way. We have had chickens for many years now and up until lately we have only utilized the eggs and the past prime hens. We are looking more closely at finding chickens strictly for their meat but, I will get into that in another section. I have many questions and I hope that I won't bore everyone with them.
