The chicken I’m referring to is the black and white Easter Egger. My gut is telling me it’s a boy, but I want it so badly to be a girl. I live in the city, so I unfortunately cannot have a rooster /:
He/She is bigger than the rest of my girls, definitely the dominant one, and has a slight curl in the tail feathers. This chicken is by far the friendliest and has always been a shoulder/lap bird, so it breaks my heart if I have to get rid of it.
Let me know your thoughts!! Thank you!

Yup, looks like a boy to me. How old? The comb is pretty red, and I can see three rows of 'peas', a characteristic of male pea-combed birds such as Easter Eggers. The curved tail feathers do appear to be male sickle feathers coming in.

:hmm That's sad to hear. Almost 3 months old. When do they normally start crowing?

This tells the tale.
Gender specific feathers won't come in for another month or two
