Easter Egger club!

Here are my two EE girls from before, getting older now :) and thankfully very tame and cuddly
 
Here they are at 5 weeks! Daffodil, Magnolia, and Poppy... they are kinda skittish cuz they have been in the “see no touch” section since two and half weeks and unfortunately I can only see no touch too:rolleyes: But I never fooled with my Cochin babies as they had a mama and they are the friendliest little chickens I’ve got...

Sorry if this is a super dumb question, but I'm brand new and I know a little less than nothing.

Generally speaking, does the term Easter Egger only denote that the hens lay eggs of the pretty pastel colors? Are the eggs variable in size? I was asking an acquaintance who has a few barred rock hens and he said the EE hens lay small eggs- just larger than a quail's egg, but I wanted some more info so I can be more able to make a decision.
