Easter Egger club!

Okay sorry, but I have another question. Has anyone ever purchased EEs from a feed store. Do they still come out looking close to what they should, wit heir "beard" and everything?

This is Si. She is a store bought EE. Of course she was sold as an Auracana... but she is EE and has a beautiful large beard. She lays a light olive egg.

Poor lighting, but the egg on the left is hers. The top egg is from Penny (RIR) and the right egg is from Smoke (BSL).

Wow, she's amazing!!! do you have any pics of her as a chick? I would like to look for a chick that looks similar to her at the feed store to at least have a basic idea of what she could end up looking like.

@SwedishDude99 I have no clue what she looked like as a chick. Sorry. When i got her she was 20 weeks old. I bought her from a man who bought her from the local feed store. He told me that she was Araucana, but I knew better. Maybe you have a local breeder. That is jow I got the pullet in my avatar. She is a beautiful rumpless EE.

Oh ok. No problem. Where I live, there aren't a lot of people who even own chickens, let alone breed them. In our neighborhood, our neighbors think were insane for having chickens and ducks on our 1/4 acre lot. They do like the free eggs though. ;)
I will just go to the feed store then and pick some chicks that don't look like my current chickens when they were chicks. Thanks a lot! :D

Has anyone every got any EE's from Cackle Hatchery? If so, are they mostly the same color pattern?
I ordered Bantam EE from Cackle last summer. One hen is blue-grey, the other is almost white with buff and grey "points". One girl was probably going to be black or very dark, but died. One boy is gorgeous. He is blue-black with gold hackles and saddles. The other boys were rehomed early on

Here are the two girls I have now. Sugar started laying at 21 weeks. Myst is visiting the nest box at 25 weeks. Love them!

Try to pick chicks with the fluffiest faces then they will probably have beards! I got 4 EE's and 2 had super fluffy cheeks and they still do

Color wise, all mine looked very similar, brown tones, as chicks but all grew up very different!

All looked like this as chicks (the 2 on top of the EcoGlow are EE's)...

And grew up to this:
