Easter Egger club!

Wow lovely birds, everyone! Akhadley, Insanity is right, they vary wildly depending on their background. The two I have are the most slightly built of my group, I'd say they are still Large Fowl but in the lightweight category, while my Buff Orphington and Black Australorp are in the middleweight, and my Light Brahma would be heavyweight. They're about the same height as the middleweights, but with far less padding. ;)

New EE owner here!

I just got these two cuties yesterday. They were sold as Araucana's, but I've been told that they are really EE's. I'm excited

They are adorable.

I can't wait to see what they look like when they feather out!

It bugs me that businesses continue to label EE's as Ameraucanas or Auracanas... It's not like Easter Eggers wouldn't sell if people knew what they were--they're one of the most popular varieties of chicken out there!

Many feed stores don't know the difference. They simply label them as what the breeder (usually a xl factory style) sold them as. My local store can't even sort day old leghorns, silkies, and Russian orllorf. I had to help when the order got jumbled.

They are so pretty, I have 4 and they are the most entertaining of birds... at almost 6 months I hope I am ready for lots of eggs. I have to Welsummers that are 2 days younger and they too are ready..
