We thought we were sure that this EE was a rooster, but now we're having doubts, Here are a couple comparison comb phots of Marty (I) and it's hatch sibling NightWing Marty(i)

Hello from LOUISIANA!! We currently have two EE's, one who is laying light beige (or pink?) eggs. I am desperate for some blue eggs, and have been thinking about buying pure CCL or Ameraucana, but I just love the look, variety, and personalities of our EE's so we will probably just buy more EE's! Here is Leona: Pretty disappointed in her egg color (the lightest one), of course I was hoping for blue. People have even told me they wouldn't call her an Easter Egger because of this color egg. That's okay... I'm partial to mutts. :yiipchick And here is our younger EE, NOLA (because of her black & gold coloring, WHO DAT! :D ):

She's a cutie. I actually want my other Easter Egger to lay a pinkish egg. The the only girl who is laying right now (I only have 2 birds) lays a pretty bluish-green egg, but would love to have a pinkish looking one as well. I found out it was Goldie who laid her first egg last week and I am hoping Bear will lay a pink one, although if it is blue or blue green, that would be fine. I'll just have to get more chickens to make a rainbow basket .

Goldie (who can't sit still for the camera) who is so much prettier in person and just the sweetest thing:

And Bear (who I am hoping for an egg from this week):

Bear used to be very skittish of people, but I introduced her to grapes and now she can't wait to pose for the camera. Pretty sure she knows she'll get a grape, which she did.

I was told at the feed store where I got both my chicks that the easter eggers could lay pink, blue, green or brown eggs, so I would still consider yours an EE.

I'm not the expert, but I don't usually put a lot of stock into what the feed store people say when trying to sell chickens. Especially, when they are selling EEs as Ameraucana's. If I have learned right, the EEs should have some sort of Ameraucana gene, which would have the blue/green egg gene. So an EE should lay a greenish or blueish egg. Of course, EE are mixes and I guess other colors are possible, like olive eggs, but again that would be usually a cross between a blue/green egg gene and a dark brown egg gene like a marans...Feed stores can misrepresent what they are selling, usually because they don't really know but sometimes they know but will try and sell them as something they're not. However, your two girls are very pretty...

To be fair to the feed store, they sell them by the same name the hatchery they order them from calls them- Americuana/Auracuana Strain or some such (I have the little brochure somewhere that says it). She kept calling them Americuana, but in her defense she was a nice older lady that raised some of the previous years chicks to laying hens and said that is what she got, so that's how she knew what color the eggs could turn out to be. I have to add that I am the one that called them EE since I realize it from reading this forum after taking them home and learning how to care for chickens from BYC. The store I go to is local and they are very nice people so I don't want to disparage her. I think they just take the hatchery's word for it that is what they are ordering and getting. I'm just happy to have healthy chicks :) And I'm still hoping for a pink egg - LOL!

As an aside, according to the "My Pet Chicken" website, they sell them officially as Easter Eggers, and the description mentions this: "Please note that while they chiefly lay blue or green eggs, they may (rarely) lay any egg color, including tinted, white, brown or even pinkish eggs."

You could look into Black Wyandottes, my girl lays a pinkish egg.
