Easter Egger club!

Ooh, Fester IS very handsome!

One of my EE chicks is getting a black beard which I think is really cool, so I wanted to post it:

It's nothing like the beards on any of my true Ameraucanas. This one curves under the whole neck, and then sticks out horizontally at each ear. I wish one of the many shots I took showed it up better. This one started out kind of medium light. It's down was like a dark blond color, and it also had some chipmunky stripes. Was vent sexed as a pullet from the hatchery, so I'm hoping they were right. The funny thing is, the chick that started out darker than this one has now got more gold color and is lighter overall. I could always tell them apart, but now the black beard is going to help a lot.

That's Lillian on the left. She is very friendly, loves cuddles and will jump for treats. Agnes is the gray and black. She is gentle and sweet. She is nice to all the other chickens no matter their age or time in the flock.

Agnes looking like a little old man. She looks crotchety here which is so opposite her nature. This picture makes me laugh.

This is Millie. The only EE of the three without a beard or muff. She is always one of the first to the treats with her funny dinosaur run. She loves to eat from my hand and be pet, but unlike the other two, she doesn't like to be picked up, so I respect that.
