Easter Egger club!

Can you send us a picture? I have 2 EE's, at least I was told they are, that have no muffs, beards, etc.

For sure! one of my EE's came from the feed store at a couple few days old with a little muff, no beard and the other was clean shaven. The one that started with a little muff grew a wizard worthy beard and muff. The other has a moderate muff and little beard.
Cool I like puffy faces the best.

2 od my EE have definite muffs and beards, 1 of my EE only has a little beard going on, and the other one I have has no muff or beard. I think when it might depend on what characteristics of the mixed breeds decide to come through maybe. I was sold mine as Ameraucanas, of course I was duped. They are all beautiful, but they are all on the small side compared to my other hens.
Mine are small in sz too, all but Blackbeard and Queenie

oops, of, not od
lol I got it.

I love that my EE's have diversified my portfolio teehee. That Army green egg makes me smile every time I find it in the egg box.

I love my colorful egg basket as well, The only colors I am missing is Dark Chocolate and pink, I have the Chocolate just not laying yet ( BCM ) and am looking fr a couple BR's to fix the pink.

I have a solid white EE rooster

gorgeous. i've been looking for a solid white EE hen for him just to mess around with and see if they have white chicks
This is my Rooster

and these are the only whites I have that I could have got my white chick from, I think???

the one in the back. The one in the front.
All 3 have beards and muff's

no, not really, but it is not a death sentance. A cross-beak chicken can live a long and full life with cross-beak.

this article is very helpful on what to do if you have a chick with cross beak. Hope it helps!
Thank you for the article, I have been reading up on it and I cant really find any pictures of how far back to trim the beak, or how on earth do you hold a chick and trim at the same time? I am still looking but not having much luck.

is there anything I can do for scissor beak?
I'm newer to chickens so I don't know if others agree or not on this, but it looks like it can be trimmed back or filed some to help with some of the crookedness. I looked it up on google, and I won't say it sounds "easy" but it doesn't sound too complicated either. There are a couple videos about beak trimming, but the ones I found weren't specific to scissor beak, they were just trimming for avoiding pecking. If you search on google you can right click on the videos link and open that in a new window to check out the videos (I like to do that so I don't lose my search page)

It also looks like there are some tips and tricks for feeding and watering so it makes it easier for them. Not sure if that's helpful information or not.
